Political Involvement and the Intersection with Science

In my unique journey that intertwines the worlds of politics and science, I have discovered a profound synergy between my academic pursuits in physics and political science, and my active role in the political landscape. Holding a Bachelor's degree in BSc Physics and currently pursuing a Master's in Political Science, my educational background has significantly shaped my approach to political involvement.

The Foundation in Physics

My journey in the world of science began with a Bachelor's degree in Physics. This field, rooted in the exploration and understanding of the fundamental laws of nature, equipped me with a methodical way of thinking, a keen attention to detail, and an appreciation for the empirical approach. These skills proved invaluable as I navigated the complex and often unpredictable realm of politics.

Physics taught me to look at problems from a logical and analytical perspective, focusing on evidence-based solutions. This approach is crucial in political decision-making, where policies and strategies must be grounded in reality and practicality.

Transition to Political Science

Transitioning from physics to political science for my Master’s degree was a natural progression in my quest to make a broader impact. While physics provided me with analytical tools, political science offered insights into the workings of government, the dynamics of power, and the art of governance.

Studying political science allowed me to understand the intricate relationship between government policies and societal outcomes. It gave me a framework to analyze the socio-economic challenges facing Nepal and explore viable solutions through the lens of governance and policy-making.

Merging Science and Politics in Governance

Combining the rigors of scientific thinking with the nuances of political theory has been a unique aspect of my political involvement. This dual perspective enables me to advocate for policies that are not only politically and economically sound but also scientifically informed.

For instance, in addressing environmental issues or technological advancements, my background in physics helps me understand the scientific aspects, while my political science education guides me in formulating effective and sustainable policies.

Advocacy for Evidence-Based Policy Making

One of my key advocacies in the political sphere is promoting evidence-based policy making. This approach involves utilizing scientific methods and data to inform political decisions, ensuring that policies are effective, efficient, and capable of addressing the real issues at hand.

The Role of Education in Political Leadership

My journey underscores the importance of a strong educational foundation for political leaders. The combination of scientific and political education has not only enriched my understanding but has also empowered me to make more informed, effective, and responsible decisions in my political career.

In conclusion, my political involvement, underpinned by a solid foundation in both physics and political science, exemplifies how diverse educational backgrounds can profoundly enrich one's approach to governance and policy-making. As I continue to navigate the political landscape, my goal is to leverage this unique amalgamation of knowledge to contribute positively to Nepal’s growth and to inspire future leaders to embrace a multidisciplinary approach in their quest for societal betterment.
